AI music mastering prep
Suno Mastering Checklist
A practical checklist for moving from a raw Suno or AI-assisted song to a cleaner master that is ready for final QC and distribution prep.
This is not a mastering replacement
Use this checklist and the Release Lab as preflight QC. Final mastering decisions still belong in your DAW, Ozone, Youlean, EXPOSE, or another dedicated tool.
The goal
Catch obvious export, loudness, clipping, naming, and release-readiness issues before you upload a track publicly.
Checklist
Export a clean WAV or lossless file from Suno or your DAW
Save the original generation, prompt, and project notes
Check sample peak and possible clipping
Confirm stereo channels and 44.1 kHz or higher
Compare at least two masters if possible
Listen on headphones, phone, car, and small speaker
Document human arrangement, mix, and master decisions
Verify final LUFS and true peak in a dedicated mastering meter
Prepare clean metadata, artwork, and release date
Follow distributor disclosure prompts when asked
